LeAnna Brockway Obituary LeAnna Brockway, age 63 years, of Decatur, Nebraska, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026, at Methodist Jennie Edmundson Hospital in Council Bluffs, lowa LeAnna was born on December 17, 1962, in Oakland, Nebraska, to Neta Hightree-Deckard and Jerry Deckard, and then later was adopted by Clarence "Brock" Brockway. LeAnna grew up in Decatur, Nebraska, and attended Decatur Public School, where she graduated in 1981. LeAnna was active in the RLDS church during childhood and was a member of Job's Daughters International. LeAnna joined the Army the same year she graduated high school on November 23, 1981. Once out of basic training, she then moved around Nebraska before venturing to Kansas. LeAnna started a life there and her own little family, having three children: Dustin, Jessica, and Hailey. LeAnna became a woman of all trades and worked many jobs to support her family. LeAnna really loved her kids, and everything she did was for them. She was a great mo After living in Kansas for many years, she decided to move back home to be closer to her mom when her dad fell ill and passed away in 2007. LeAnna worked in healthcare for many years and went back to school to further her education in dietary management. LeAnna later had to step away from her career following a work accident and a decline in her health. During that time, she was fortunate to rest at home with her family. LeAnna was preceded in death by her dad, Clarence "Brock" Brockway, grandparents, Ella Mae (Paul) Hightree, uncles, Denny Hightree and Dean Hightree; and nephew, Tony Brockway (Information taken from 25th Alumni Booklet May 2006.
