Luella M. Beck

Luella Marks Beck, 102, of Hollister, Mo., formerly of Decatur, Neb., died Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013, at Point Lookout Nursing Home and Rehab in Hollister. Funeral services will be held Friday, Feb. 22, 2013, 10:30 a.m. at United Methodist Church in Decatur. Rev. Philip Sloat will officiate and organist is Ethelyn Brewer. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the services at the church.

Luella was born August 27, 1910, at the farm home of her parents, Claude and Myrtle (Marks) Ball near Decatur in Burt County, Neb. She graduated from Decatur High School and attended Wayne State Teacher's College. She taught at the Ball School, which was located on the family farm.

August 17, 1932, Luella married Kenneth Beck and was a full time homemaker and life-long resident of Decatur. She was a member of the United Methodist Church and Order of Eastern Star in Decatur.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband; six brothers; and six sisters.

Survivors include her daughter, Jean McAllister of Branson, Mo.; son, Clark Beck of Decatur; sister, Larraine Day of Union Grove, Wis.; four grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Casket bearers are Mike McAllister, Gary McAllister, Kraig Reuter, Mark Siecke, Tyler Siecke and Nick White.

Burial is at Hillcrest Cemetery, Decatur.
